Colborne Lodge

We had a lovely time at Colborne Lodge. Michael came along to go on the tour. This was a first for him. He enjoyed the tour and Zach and I relaxed until it was our time to play. We played Mozart, Beethoven, solos and Hohavness. It was well received. Michael is looking forward to returning in the fall for a walk around in the dark. Should be fun.
Zach and I are now planning for next performances. Plenty to think about.

March

We are getting ready for a busy season. Next weekend, the duo of flute and bassoon will play at Colborne Lodge for the Spring Equinox. The public is welcome to this concert and display of the house which is fascinating. Colborne's wife was ill the later years of her life and she had separate quarters in the house.
It is time to plan for the May concert at the McMichael Gallery. This is our longest concert of the year.
We look forward to seeing you.
Please say hello.

Happy New 2011

It is a little late for happy New Year but the trio is now back at it in the new year. Everyone is back in town and we have a performance at the Dunfield residence tomorrow and then Princess Margaret Lodge on Tuesday. As some of you may already know, we feel that it is important to give back and entertain those who are experiencing difficult times.
It is amazing that the group already has performances in September of this year.
The group will be at the McMichael May 1 and Spadina House June 12. These are public performances.
We will keep you up to date on our activities now that we are back.

New season

Now that the fall has arrived, the trio is busy planning new gigs and getting music organized. Our next performance is at a library to help promote the arts. Plein Air who we were supposed to play for earlier this summer is sponsoring the event and we are part of it. Should be fun. We will use a sub for the flute but we are comfortable with Louie who played with us last spring. We actually have several flutes ready in case of emergencies. Now to get others for the clarinet and bassoon and we are all set to go.
After the library, we are going to Princess Margaret Lodge to play for the cancer patients.
