Seasonal Performances

The Taffanel Wind Ensemble is busy with seasonal performances. On Wednesday we were at Colborne Lodge in High Park for an open house. Quite delightful. This week, we are at Hazelton Place and the following week, we will be at Spadina House for another open house. We are busy with seasonal music at this time.

Still Playing

If you have visited this site, you might be wondering if the group is still playing. The short answer is yes we are. Unfortunately, for many of you the places that we play are seniors homes and therefore not suitable for public performance.
We will make sure that we let you know when we have a public performance and hopefully that will be soon.

Don Mills Shopping Centre

The Taffanel Wind Ensemble is very busy with performances this summer. Just got another performance on Friday. Amazing, I have been calling this particular location for about 5 years with no results and then suddenly out of the blue there is a call requesting a performance. We are ready to perform and in only a couple weeks.
Two of us from the Taffanel Wind Ensemble will be playing for the public with the rest of Otteto Prosciutto at the Don Mills Shopping Centre on August 13th, 2 p.m. Hopefully, it will be a nice day and you will enjoy the experience.

On behalf of the Taffanel Wind Ensemble, I would like to thank all of you who came to our performance at Spadina House on Sunday. It was a lovely day. The weather cooperated, it did not rain although the clouds did threaten at one point.
Will let you know when we have our next public performance.
Bill and I play in Otteto Prosciutto and we will be playing at the Don Mills Centre, August 13th. See you there if you have time. You can shop and listen to us.
In the meantime, enjoy the many performances in the city.

Spadina House This Sunday

After our cold spring, if you could call it spring, we finally have summer.
We invite you to come to our performance at Spadina House on Sunday. Enjoy summer. We will be playing at 1:30 in the orchard at Spadina House which is beside Casa Loma.
Spadina House has been refurbished and well worth the visit. The gardens are lovely as well.

Spadina House 2011

Hopefully by the time we come to Spadina House the weather will have warmed up and the flowers will be blooming. We will be at Spadina House on Sunday June 12, 1:30 p.m. as part of Music in the Orchard. We have had the pleasure of performing in this lovely setting for many years and hope to continue for many more. We will entertain with music from Haydn to Send in the Clowns.
Come enjoy the music and the gardens which should be magnificent.

McMichael Concert, May 1

This is the annual concert at the McMichael Gallery coming up on Sunday May 1. It is always special to play at the gallery. After doing this for over 10 years, it seems like old hat except there are new players. Stephanie, a wonderful flute player is the newest addition to the group. Bill, the clarinet player is becoming an old pro at this and of course me.
